Rediscover & Reconnect: An Afternoon to Come Home to Yourself

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what it means to be a woman in midlife. Not the shiny, polished, social-media-worthy version, but the real one.
The version where you’re carrying so much, holding so much, managing so much, and then the world hands you a checklist of things you’re apparently meant to be doing on top of it all.
Strength train every day. Eat 30 grams of protein at every meal. Track your fibre. Buy the supplements. Fix your hormones. Optimise your sleep. Be calm. Be strong. Be ageless.
It’s endless. It’s exhausting.
I see this all the time in so much of my work in colour and style, as a GP, and as a coach. Women are disconnected from themselves. It’s not because we have failed. It’s because we are tired.
Midlife has become a marketplace full of advice, products, expectations.
And while some of it can be helpful, the sheer volume of advice and the pressure to perform midlife “correctly”, can feel overwhelming. It’s as if the world has turned this chapter of life into a marketplace, full of products and promises, without acknowledging the truth:
Most women in midlife don’t need more pressure. They need more space.
Space to breathe. Space to reconnect. Space to remember themselves.
That’s the heart of Rediscover & Reconnect.
Why we created this event
When Kathleen, Kelsey and I started dreaming up this event, we didn’t want to add to the noise. We didn’t want to create another thing women had to achieve. We knew that we wanted a space created for women who are tired of being told to “do more”.
So we designed a three hour experience at Chiswick House and Gardens. If you have never been, you will not believe you are still in London. It is an oasis of calm, nature and peace. It is the perfect location for women to forget the to-do list and reconnect with themselves in a way that feels nourishing rather than demanding.
What I’ll be bringing — and why it matters to me
You know how much I love colour analysis, but what I love even more is what happens underneath it.
That moment when a woman sees herself clearly; not the version she’s been trying to maintain, not the version she thinks she “should” be, but the version she actually is right now.
There’s something profoundly healing about that.
During the event, I’ll be guiding you through gentle colour and style exploration so you can meet your present day self with curiosity, softness, and maybe even a little excitement. It’s not about clothes; it’s about identity. It’s about remembering the parts of you that have been waiting quietly for your attention.
What Kathleen and Kelsey bring
Kathleen’s breathwork is deeply restorative; a way of dropping out of your head and into your body, into calm, into clarity. Think of a warm hug from a dear friend – that is your breath embracing your body, mind and spirit.
Kelsey brings her medical and aesthetic expertise with such compassion. She understands the emotional landscape of midlife and supports women in feeling at home in their bodies again. Her approach is holistic, gentle and deeply personalised.
Together, we hold different threads of the same tapestry: identity, wellbeing, confidence, and self connection.
Midlife isn’t a decline it is the time to rediscover and return
I don’t see midlife as something to fix or fight. It’s the time you stop living by default and start living by intention.
And if you’ve been feeling disconnected from your joy, your confidence, your body or your sense of self this afternoon is a time to dedicate to getting back to you.
A personal note
When I imagine this event, I think of the women I’ve worked with who’ve said:
“I didn’t realise how much I’d disappeared.” “I want to feel like me again.” “I’m ready for something new.”
If any part of that resonates, I’d love you to join us. Not because you need to change, but because you deserve to reconnect.
You deserve to feel seen. You deserve to feel supported. You deserve to feel like yourself again — not the old version, but the woman you’re becoming.
Midlife isn’t an ending, it’s the start of your best chapter.
And I’d be honoured to walk a little of that path with you.
